Public Policy: “does this mean we’ve won the Iraq War?” All seriousness aside I guess...

What “war”? The wholly trinity (government, big business and organized religion) led invasion of a sovereign nation on the basis of that majority religion’s dogma, false—trumped up evidence, distortions and lies? Is that what is meant? Where in the world is there a “war” in that? What a joke! You’ve got to be kidding.

Hey, it was “w” that called it a “crusade” not me. It was the congress that gave Halliburton, Kellogg Brown and Root and the rest carte blanche (without as much as a bid). It is what the founders hoped to avoid---public policy on the basis of the man-made dogma that is religion. That is public policy from which no one gains and all suffer.

The residents of Bexar County being home to so many military installations and members should be paying close attention. That’s unlikely but they should be.

It is difficult enough for our “leaders” to convince anyone, save themselves, that they have honorable intentions in bullying Palestinians to the “peace” table---especially given the ignorance-based fear and bigotry sprouting all over the nation presently.

And of course given the penchant of our “leaders” to attack one Muslim country after another while fixing scrutiny on others. Our intentions have to be suspect at best. I mean what do we believe Muslims to be, deaf, dumb and blind?

All “leaving” Iraq (not) means is shifting and focusing the “crusade” on Afghanistan and other Muslim nations and peoples.

It is a difficult condition convincing anyone of our “honorable” intentions in the Middle East.

Creating the State of Palestine doesn’t require anything more than it took to create the State of Israel by U.N. edict---except the will to do so.

It is difficult to believe that this nation once had leaders secular, progressive, liberal and intelligent enough to sign and a congress bold enough to ratify the Treaty of Tripoli in which no less than John Adams declared to the world that the United States of America was not founded on Christian “values.”

Treaty of Tripoli
Authored by American diplomat Joel Barlow in 1796, the following treaty was sent to the floor of the Senate, June 7, 1797, where it was read aloud in its entirety and unanimously approved. John Adams, having seen the treaty, signed it and proudly proclaimed it to the Nation.

skills aren't required. all that is required is the willingness to use the same U.N. process that "created" the state of Israel to create the state of Palestine. The same Israeli-American oligarchs that send $2B of my tax dollars in aid to Israel every year won't allow that---that’s a promise.
